Retro Newbie
Does anyone know where I can get a spring to replace the one I lost pls? It is 10 speed and the RD is maybe 1990's, 2005?
I gather the Chorus mech bits also fit. Brian Johnson

OK Found a spring but now the bolt/pin that goes through the spring is defective! It has a thread at the inner end where it goes into the knuckle and a circlip groove at the outer end. The groove is so worn that the clip no longer stays in. No part nbr I'm afraid in the Campag diagram. A couple of clips would be good too, the first one bounced out and away............RD-CH006

Indeed it is , one of them! The pin protruding from the knuckle is the one with no P/N, which is a pain since the circlip groove has become worn/chipped. This one has and for the pin to unscrew and yet be non-replaceable is annoying. I have got a Chorus pin that has a flange on the end avoiding the use of a circlip. Same length but for some reason they made it about 1mm fatter. Hence Plan B to enlarge the hole. I intended buying a reaming bit for my drill but the tools shop offered me a cobalt drill bit instead. May try it today, unless someone says "No way you must ream it"?

Success - FYI I enlarged the hole in the pin by 1mm using a drill. Would not reccomend that old bit you had in a tin for years, invest in a new one.
