I'm pretty sure the Athena seatpost came with a cast alloy clamp and not the pressed steel one on yours. This cheap clamp was only found on the real low range stuff like this Xenon - http://www.velobase.com/ViewComponent.a ... &AbsPos=43

What's the history of this seatpost? Does it say Athena on the post itself? if not then I rather fear it's an Xenon post in an Athena box.

In a new research I found in the catalog of the 1992 Campagnolo this photo and seatpost seems very identical to what I sell

And according to my 1992 catalogue it is the same, so I stand corrected with apologies.

Please ignore my comments, this, as it appears, is in fact a 1992 Athena Seatpost as advertised.

This Campagnolo lark is indeed an education.
