Campagnolo 50th anniversary group

I've got the chance of a few parts from this group for cheap. When I say cheap I mean half the price of the mad arse sellers on eBay, which is still expensive,

Anyone know the specs of the group, were any of the parts titanium? The seller is claiming the pedals are Ti and the hub spindles (and the bottom bracket) but it all sounds kinda BS to me....

Super record had titanium BB and pedal spindles I recall. I assume the 50th ann. gruppo would have been at the highest level spec

(don't take this as definitive. But there's a likelihood that the seller isn't completely BS'ing)

The 50th anniversary groupset was 1983 super record,/croce d'aune with some little gold details and "50th A" pantograph.
I believe therefore it will have ti pedal spindles, bb axle and main derailleur bolt.

Of course it's easy to check once you've got it. there's plenty of campag stuff advertised above its actual grade.

Wasn't aware that Crauce D'Aune existed as early as 83. I thought it came out as 2nd tier to C-record a few years on

I was thinking croce had some innovations shared with 50thA but different to SR

perhaps I put the cart before the horse

Was just SR with some special engraving and some 24K gold bits. As such, it was slightly heavier than a straight SR group set by a few grams and looked seriously tacky. Crank dust caps were unique to the group set and required a special two-pin removal tool that was included in the set.
There was a special decal included with the set and a large poster too which was (if you were lucky - and I was) available separately. My poster is framed on my living room wall.
