OK, so I just got hold of the lever and the only broken part appears to be the main black plastic body. The lever blade itself and the shifting mechanism are all fine.
A quick look for spares and it looks like they don't sell jsut the actual lever body itself, but at a minimum including all the shifter parts and inner lever, and for the price of one of those we could probably get a full set of used levers.
Anyone know a source for jsut the main body part of a 10 speed left hand ergo lever (daytona, I'm assuming and hoping that any other version will also be compatible...), or even have one available?

From what you say, I assume a 21st century 9 speed body would also work. ..... the version with the domed hoods.
I'm guessing??
