Cambridge - London Stage - Tour de France

Hi All,

Anybody planning on going to watch the Cambridge to London Stage of the Tour de France as it passes by Chelmsford on Monday?

A coupe of work colleagues and myself are intending to get the train out of Southend and then ride the 10 or so miles from Shenfield up to the route, hopefully finding somewhere to watch the Tour fly past just west of Roxwell. Would be great to meet any fellow members of this forum if you’re around or even if you wish to join us on the journey.

Would have loved to be able to join you Steve on my Ron Cooper but I have work commitments. The tour passes right by my office when the speed will be ramping up along Upper Thanes St. So I'll be having a late lunch to catch that at least.

There are some nice and quiet flat lanes out Roxwell way I did the CTC SEGS 75 ride in February and really enjoyed the ride. Hope you have a great day....what a nice dilemma you could be facing with the choice of bikes too
