Calling all Kona experts...

Is the seat post "ovalised" at the bottom by the crank? You might need to take more pics to try to show the tube shape at certain points! I take it you cant make out any decal info!

Someone on here might be able to give you more info from the number stamped underneath on the crank casing!

I'm leaning towards '94 because of the single colour!!

I think you guys are right. it looks like there was a longer name across the top tube, and it doesn't look like it is ovalised by the headtube.

I was thrown by the single colour!!!!

I'll get my coat!

thanks

I was hoping it would be a cindercone, oh well. I didn't know about that Konaretro site. Thanks for the good info!

I have a 1993 Lavadome/Cindercone - bought 13 years ago or so and was resprayed when I got it from Cash Converters (?!). I noticed the dropouts and the 'K' on the collar. Called up Kona Europe and gave them the frame no - they said it could be either Cinder Cone or Lavadome as they had the same frame/batch numbers.

Does that mean both models shared the same frame?

I just read in the 1993 Kona catalogue it says that the Lava Dome has "the same super light frame as the Cindercone...".
