Anyone know where I can get this style of frame protector from ? (the rubber cable sleeve at the head tube) :

Picture pinched from Joe  thank you

I have only seen them on new ‘pre built’ bikes :?

Cheers,

There is a shop in Reading called Hill's Rubber. If you have the sizes, I could go and see if they have anything suitable.

I spotted them first on the above picture and did think about rubber pipe and heatshrink (already on my valve stems ) etc but then my mate turned up with a felt roadbike which had them on - they look really neat moulded to suit etc.

A bit more looking around has revealed that jagwire do them

The only problem I can see with them is that they can still move relative to the frame, so they will still cause scuff marks if either the frame or the cables are dusty or muddy. I don't think they will work better than stickers fixed to the frame itself.

Well I decided to try some on the Marin (and will keep a close eye on any wear) and after a good look around I decided I liked these best :

They took about 10 days to come but seem realy good. They are two colour moulded rubber (not painted logos), really soft / squidgey, the smaller size fits SP41 well and the larger size just about fits the old school style large diameter xt outer brake cable
