Buying abroad advice needed.

I've seen a frame for sale but its a private seller and from abroad.

Does anyone know how I was I can pay for the frame and have some sort of guarantee?

Paypal would have to be gift and as gift no guarantee.

Why does paypal have to be gift? If the seller wants payment by gift, offer to pay the fees (4%) and if he declines the offer, walk away!
Pay using the goods and services option and in the comments box include a brief detail of the item and link to the ad.
Paypal isn't perfect but it is the safest way to buy stuff abroad, other, perhaps, than by credit card.
You are of course only "guaranteed" by the information the seller gives you so ask plenty of questions!

paypal does NOT have to be gift! there is absolutely no reason at all for that to be the case.

Thanks for the advice, I've sent email suggesting Paypal direct and to make sure currier is signed and insured too......... He's got to accept my offer first........lol
