They use a 3/16 bolt. The advantage of bolting them on rather than using a QR is that the noticeably stiffen up flexy forks (I used them with Marchocci XC 400s, 600s and DH3s). The fronts had 2 different styles, with the later having lager diameter flanges and were marketed as suspension hubs as there is more surface contact with the drop outs.
As an added bonus your wheels will unlikely be stolen as no one seems to carry 3/16 allen keys with them.
