Got my first one - just realised it has a weird (read: 'American' ;-)) sized allen bolt where a skewer should be - what size allen key am I looking for and is there a way you can replace this fixing for a normal skewer???

imperial size key. Can't remember which Yes a 'normal' skewer will fit. As the axle is hollow???

They are a 3/16” bolt. I always carry a 3/16 allen key with me because no one else will have one when you need to take a wheel off.

On a positive side no one can steal your wheels either.
