Building my new frame - shiney frame pics added!

Re:

The paint decisions are almost made. I'm speaking to 2 different people about a similar design, so it'll come down to who gives the best quote :D

Re:

After getting 2 identical quotes of £350 for the frame paint, I've back-tracked again and sent it off for a 'natural' finish.
It'll be getting some decals and clearcoat when it gets back and then I'll set about building it up.
I think it'd be a good idea to actually try riding it before commiting to an expensive paint job.
If it rides like a dog, it can stay natural and go on my wall :D

Re:

Been waiting to see what you were gonna come up with for the finish mate .
£350  What was that for ?

Re: Building my new frame

For that much I'd have wanted them to throw in a pair of forks and wheels too !
The clear coat with a bit of sparkle will look good IMO

Re:

So...the frame is back from the metal polishers :D
I got a text from them this morning to say that it was ready for collection.
I managed to sweet talk the missile into collecting it for me, so it was laid on the floor waiting for to be unwrapped when I got in from work.
Once I stepped over Martina, I got busy removing the protective tape from this....

I asked for a polished finish, but not mirror. I didn't want to blind myself when riding it in the sunshine!
I'm really pleased with the job they've done, especially for £40.
So, I then gave the frame a good wipe over with ipa and then set about adding the decals I'd been collecting....

The next stop for the frame is the spray shop, for a good layer of clearcoat.
I'm toying with the idea of grabbing hold of the frame in one place with a bare hand before it goes. That way my hand-print will slowly appear in surface rust under the clearcoat
