My son is out-growing of his 20" wheel Specialized Hotrock, and if I continue as before I will ask Santa to bring him the 24" wheel version.
These bikes are quite expensive at £270 (will probably be more when new model comes out) but I do sell the used one on and get a good price.
Anyhoo, I have been thinking about building him a 'new' 26" wheel bike using an old frame. (Powder coating at my local place is only £35)
Does anyone have any thoughts on this, and ideas of what frames may be small enough to fit. The only thing I can think of is a modern jump frame.
The build would need to come in at less than £215 which is the price I can get a 2010 Hotrock now, to put away.
Is this a good idea, or should I put it to bed and get the cash out?
