If you add in a chainset, perhaps - but even then that's some pretty decent componentry, or a rip-off LBS this guy had.
As he's based in Emsworth (which is next door to Portsmouth, and therefore Wiggle) I find this doubtful... Nothing that a Tesco 15 kilogramme rigid hi-ten BSO would compare with in terms of durability anyway.

After a couple of years of pedalling, my shiny and very expensive Claud Butler gave up the ghost. The chain had stretched, the cassette was worn, and the bottom bracket was needed replacing. The total cost to repair it? £145. And that was if I purchased all the parts and did all the work myself. I already owned the (expensive) tools I would need for the job, but for £145... it just didn't make sense to fix it.
