BSA Gold Column Decals

Hi David, How are you progressing with your BSA Golden Column? I have recently purchased the example in the video earlier in this post. Best Regards Steve

Ahhh! I saw that come up for sale - I was wondering who might have bought it! What are your plans? Mine is now back on the road - took it for a first spin last weekend. Still needs a few tweaks, but I'm happy with how it's looking - especially the decals and pinstriping which I managed to recreate pretty well. I'll upload more pics in due course, but here's one to set the ball rolling... 1000016462.webp

Hi David, What an amazing coincidence. I took mine for its first shakedown last weekend after a clean, touch-up and rebuild. I have spent a few hours sorting out the rear BSA 4-Star Derailleur, including reorientating it in the correct position. I have also fitted a GB Courier front brake until I can find some replacement BSA Cantilvers. It is now running sweet. The bike is incredibly light and feels very responsive. I expected a few hitches, but it ran perfectly.

That's amazing! And I love that there are now two of these lovely bikes back on the road! Mine is a single speed, so far less fettling required, and I love the simplicity. It rides really well.

I'm slightly jealous of your chrome, though - looks like it's cleaned up really well. And I could do with a set of proper BSA pedals...
