It is really lovely paintjob! I would suggest giving it a go with polish to minimize that "orange peel" effect (I am not sure if that is correct expression in English).

Knowing that mrdryskull has painted his own frames previously, I'd venture to say that this work of art is indeed done with his own hands.
Perhaps he's just a bit to humble to take credit for it..
