Andy

i googled it,looks weird,in agood way, like its designed without spyin others, which is great.

but as i watched "klunkerz" again and again,im obsessed about those scwinn-style based frames, early modifications etc.especially about early stages of frame mod´s...how did they improve them?

Hi Traani,

I decided to go for an authentic Repack style Klunker in the end.

See the build here....

And following on is J Westy's project here....

http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61972&highlight=schwinn+excelsior

And the real deal from Tam Shadow

Your best starting point is to get Klunkerz on DVD and watch it a few times. The film's maker Billy Savage is a Retrobike member (Klunkerbill) and a top bloke and the father of Mountain Biking- Mr Charlie Kelly is also a regular.

Good luck with your project and if you need any help just shout, I'm sure there are plenty of people that can help.

Cheers

My grandad used to do Lakeland passes like Garburn on his fixed Hercules in the war (crazy fool). Rode up to Elterwater from Chorley most Fridays after work, climbed, walked and cycled all weekend and would come back Sunday evening. My cousin's got the Herc in his garage still. And this Triumph below was what he replaced it with to do the same thing.
3spd Sturmey, rod brakes, etc. It is for sale if anyone wants to make a British Klunker...
Check out The Ruffstuff Fellowship too.
