Reynolds 531st British Eagle Touristique that i recently picked up .
Frame no 34069 (can anyone date this ? )

looks to of had a pretty hard life during its touring years !
The drive side BB has slightly stripped threads with a Mavic 610 BB fitted.
A few dents in the tubing here and there , plenty of rust pitting and a slightly bent brake mount on the fork .
The brooks saddle was like a hammock so I’ve restored it and it’s now on another build & the remaining parts are now cleaned up and boxed.

Ive stripped the F&F right back to assess its potential and I think after I get the dents filled and the brake mount straightened it will be good for a powder coat .
The BB is too much work so I’ll re-use the Mavic.
I’ve got some flux coated brazing rods coming in the post and if all goes well maybe able to do some diy brazing using a Rotheneberger super fire 2 torch , that’s if I can get the heat into the tube?

That’s a wild variety of colours.
I went the opposite direction with mine. I’ve done nothing with the frame but built it up and got it rolling. Over the summer I’ll rack up some good miles on her and all going well will do a refurb of the frame after that!
I would consider adding a cable carrier to mine on the head tube to prevent rubbing at that point if I ever get to stripping it down.

Good idea on the cable carriers ,
I was thinking about adding some fork rack mounts but will have to see how the brazing goes first .
I don’t know about colour tbh , will wait and see on the day I expect .

Been looking on here for braze ons -

nearest I can find for cable carriers on the steerer tube would be the ART.103 I think ?
