British Eagle BOSS 19" Mint

For a charity/recycling project you sure do try and sell bikes at shop prices

A grand new? Interesting, still one to watch just to see if anyone will pay £250 for a boss

Re:

Looks like all nice kit in good nick - Farmer Johns? Probably better selling the parts, doubt there'd be much interest in the frame. Meant as a genuinely helpful (I hope!) comment. Most would agree you can get more for parts and this isn't the kind of Bike where it's a 'shame to split'.

Re:

Thanks for the feedback.

We may split it but prefer the bikes to go as a whole due to the number of bikes we turn over.

At worse someone is going to get a mint complete DX groupset.

The £1000 information was given to us by the original owner.

I remember the local bike shop flogging these. They were heavily discounted and many ended up the Al Carter way of donor bikes for other frames.

Looks like it's in nice condition and I don't see why it shouldn't make £250ish if it's as clean as you say, however there's no such thing as "almost NOS", it either is or isn't. It's like the hospital saying "Don't worry he's almost alive".

There was a XT version out in 91 for around the £1000 mark

300LX version was £599.99 it was a black one. This is the era when Alu frame where the new thing, even with Orange a cheap plain gauge Alu frame cost more than a Prestige Steel frame.
