Brian's Bike

Re:

Good to see the briamondback out on a ride!
BB7's have been good for me and not much different to setting v brakes up.

Guest duties yesterday. 21 miles. Cheers bud.

I wish i could ride 21 miles :( but great to see the Briamondback getting well used and love the wild aminals in that lovely setting ;) ..

Been giving this a revamp today. Stripped off the 8 speed and replaced with 9 speed deore and rigid exotic forks from the now gone frankenbike. Also have some funky bars coming so a loose fitting until they arrive. Only thing I don't have is a half decent 9 speed triple crankset to swap for the nasty steel truvativ. That will be the next upgrade.

Cheers bud.

Bars had arrived when I got home. Alpkit Fu Manchu. Apparently somewhat rare.

I think it looks much better with the rigid forks etc. Much more businesslike. Setup and clean next.

Suffered today. It was very rigid on the way down.

Shake me up Judy! My aching bones.

Re:

It's a decent looking bike, and a nice tribute to your friend.

I'm a big fan of these style bars. How do you find them? I find going back to straighter bars weird now.

Considering your habit for building multicoloured bikes, you've also got some really aesthetically pleasing bikes in your stable.
