Retro Newbie
Hi. A week ago, I've entered retrobike.uk & made a post to propose my mtb for the BotM in the category 'before 97", but it seems that may be the right place would be here....
I don't know, cause it's an original situation: my bike had been made in....2024 (yes!) BUT it's the exact replica of the unique model (with truss fork, it's unique, & is showed in Smithsonian museum, USA) that Joe Breeze made for himself in 76/77 to ride with his friends in Marin county & race the DH Repack.
After 1 1/2 year's hunting the original parts, & making the frame & fork (exact color too), here is the JBX1 replica, made in France.
Same dimensions, angles, tubing, parts than the original one: the first "modern" MTB of the history of our young sport.
I hope you'll enjoy to see the pictures. It will be the subject of an article in the next (31/12) french Vélo vert magazine (since 89). Have some nice days, & enjoy your rides! Best regards. Philippe
