BRC Gonzo steel frameset… anyone got info?

I would weigh it, making allowance for the bb, and see if the serial # tells you anything.

If it's a Tange Infinity (i.e., butted 4130) frame weighing c5lbs, then it could be built up into a decent-riding bike for your nephew I should have thought?

Roy… what I have is pretty ugly! here's closer pic and tubing decal

Anthony, the two nephews have bikes already. Younger one got a steel Wheeler 8800 and the older got what appears to be a Salsa ala carte team. The Salsa I can't 100% ID confirm but it's light. It has a few dents so it wasn't gonna be a keeper or worth selling.

Yeah Sierra I'm not sure but I think the Gonzo was top of the line. Sloping top tube. Seat post binder facing forward and tange tubing. Not a bad frame but don't know if it's really worth a resto.

Don't think it was Boyes & Rosser Cycles LTD.
I have one - BRC Sierra - still ride it, still love it.
Bought it in 1992 at West Point Cycle in Vancouver.
If I remember correctly, the BRC is "Bike Rider's Choice".
They were a boutique Vancouver bike company that did go
out of business, but not in 1990. Great bikes!
