Looking to buy a front mech, it's a Sachs Quarz but it's braze on.
How will I fit this to my bike?
I currently have a front mech with 34.9 clamp.

Will any Shimano braze adaptor work?

As long as your adaptor is the right size clamp for the frame then you should be good to go :)

Re:

Yep I've fitted a Sachs Quarz front mech using a new SRAM clamp and it worked fine.

Thanks guys problem solved and at last my bike will be finished !!

There was actually a purpose-designed Sachs band for them. Idea was that they could make just one mech and you bought the right size band for it.... but then they messed up the concept by doing a reverse pull front mech. You need to check that you don't have one of these - in which case you will need a very scarce front shifter tool.

I may have a 31.8 band going spare should anyone need one.
