Why would they need long nipples? Just looked at my built pair and the unused ones hanging up. The nipple head sits on just one thickness of alu like with any rim. Seated in a deep vee means that maybe a little less of the shank protrudes through the spoke hole, but it is only a little!

Not the easiest of rims to build however - too easy to "lose" nipples inside the double wall!

I originally assumed that these all-show, but plenty of references to them as being pretty tough - favoured for off-road tandems!

Cheers, I'm gonna build them 3x cross onto M563 hubs which I think means 253 front and 252/250 rear in terms of spoke length :?

I've taken that measurement from a web page, so best double check when you have the rims. I would!
