Brake pads

Anyone tried the Ashima pads ?

But I will add, regular cleaning of the rims and pads helps a lot on any brand of pads.

FC :) I've tried ashima pads out and yes they are really good,, however again it has to be said that they do not last as well as the swisstops.. :)

I will add however I've yet to try the new pro_G ashima compound pads .. but If there other pads are anything to go by I would expect them again to wear quicker,,

I have found the dirt content here in northumberland is very harsh to not only rim brake pads , Rims and those new fangled discy pad things .. and is it... er.. Rotors ,

All the other components also get worked really to the max up here..

The dirt content is like sharp really abrasive sandy grit , sticky wet slop here,, it gets everywhere, and is a good test for any parts let alone pads,... , if they survive up here they will survive anywhere..

Obviously there are loads of other factors to consider with wear rates , I.e rider weights, conditions , ride style etc...

But for myself , I searched and tested for years and must have honestly tried every pad on the market for V's and find , the swisstop for me the best currently available.. :)

Yes crazy expensive for pads , but you def get what you pay for with swiss top.. , :)
