Brake lever suggestions anyone

Hi All,

I'm building up Gruff's Orange C16R. Coming together nicely with blue X lite bars, white Rock Shox Judy's and dia compe blue cantilevers. I bought some Magura Racelines but the Neon yellow was just one colour too much.

Can anyone suggest any nice (preferably blue or orange anodized to match the theme!) brake levers that would look tasty enough?

I was also going to go with a SRAM X1 set up but, even though I really fancy trying out to 'no front mech' option, the black anodizing doesn't work too well so I may co back to Chrome, so if anyone could suggest a decent crankset/groupset (that isn't hugely expensive cook bros or anything) I'd really appreciate it.

Have any other manufacturers gone down the rear mech only route as well?

Cheers in advance for any suggestions.

Joe

Re:

Have you got a current picture of the ongoing build. It'll be easier to get a vision :)

Blue Magura ?

Or if they are cantos and not B's your going to use.
X-Lite/Diacompe with blue levers?
Not the best levers in the world (the X-Lite anyway) but have the look.

Re:

You can do whatever you want with the chainset and mech, mix and match.
X1 is modern stuff and expensive for the rear mech alone at £140
Are you planning on staying modern?

Not too concerned about staying modern or not in terms of groupset. Its more a case of finding what looks the nicest on this one...

Despite my own ano builds, I'd like to see the shock neon maguras on the bike. Of that era nobody had matching bits and neon was pretty much something you'd expect to see anyway.
And they're good powerful safe brakes. Safety first

Re:

Although you can't use cantos with them.forks.
You'll need to go V-brake, but you'll probably not find coloured ones.

Ha, Well spotted! I'll have to chuck them on the GT and go with the horrendous Neon I reckon...

And I guess that if I go out dressed like Mr Motivator it may distract from the Neon horror...
