Brake callipers with out recessed bolts wanted

As pigman says, you really do need to measure your brake drop with some accuracy- afaik all the quality side pulls from the 70s are going to bottom out around a nominal 57mm, unless they are the later ones that bottom out at 52mm. What brakes are you using atm?

Noted, just took another measurement it’s 53mm from the bolt to the top of the pad and what’s on there currently is a set of hi-gear brakes (very cheap, bottom of a friends parts bin). See link to some pictures, https://photos.app.goo.gl/brpAhVV8wXpT2DoBA

Cheers,
Alec

Re:

I believe the correct technique is to measure vertically from the axis of the pivot bolt to the axis of the brake shoe bolts.
Yes looking at your pictures it looks like you are going to need the old 'standard reach' brakes (c.47-57mm) and your shoe bolts will be right at the bottom of the slots. Hope you can find something. A bike (a Quinn?) with a Zeus 2000 fork crown deserves better..

Re:

I have some dura ace 7210 calipers like the ones in the link below, 47-57 mm depth. No brake shoes, blocks or wheel guides I'm afraid, but otherwise complete and bolt fitting.
Fair, but not concourse condition.
I'd be looking for £15 posted.
Pm me an email address if they are of interest and you want photos

Thanks for the advice, appreciate it! And it is indeed, it’s really just the brakes letting the side down at the moment so hoping to rectify that soon!

Yes, definitely interested in some photos! I don’t think I am able to PM just yet but if you could drop me a pm with yours I will make sure to follow up. Cheers, Alec.
