Can anyone recommend a bottom bracket to be paired up with a circa 1990 Deore DX crankset?

Would a Shimano BB-UN55 68 x 137mm work?

Should be 122.5mm,you might need to go longer if you have very thick chainstays, but 137mm is probably way too much (Maybe you meant 127.5?)

Yes, my fingers are quite chubby and phone screen's quite small
