Bottom bracket cup removal - which tool?

Need some advice removing the non-drive side cup on an old Falcon. I've removed the lock ring and now I'm faced with this! Haven't seen one like it before. A screwdriver and hammer has budged it a little bit but not any more so a better technique or tool is needed i think!

A flat piece of metal bar that fits the slots will do it.
