Quite a strong statement to make & wondered if you wanted to back it up, guess not.

I'm not s**t stirring, just curious that's all.

Now all you guys voicing your disapproval of knowing the votes, and not voting yet, have any of you taken a peek while logged off? Just curious.

Not seeing disapproval buddy.. just a different process

I don't log off (no, really.. I don't  ), and am not even slightly curious as to who is leading the vote before I hit the tit (so to speak)..

That's cool, tone is easy mistaken over the internet. I didn't mean disapproval as in having a problem, rather as disagreeing. Nothing wrong with that. Just wanted to make my position clear, and don't mind explaining myself further when need be.

I didn't use to be interested in how the vote was going before hitting my selection, but certain things over the past couple months have stirred my curiosity.

Whoa, the Fat has taken a lead, going from third to first

For me while the Cunningham Indian is by far one of the nicest bikes in the vote and in general, for me it just doesn’t scream “Born in the USA” as it’s almost too sensible, practical, reliable, dependable - and many other words ending in ible. It’s too well engineered and understated to fit with my mental image of American consumerist culture where I expect to be spun some line about this years model being 17% lighter, 120% more efficient and make me more attractive to the opposite sex as evidenced in the catalog photo of frames being welded by bikini clad beauties…

Maybe its just the song, but I expect a bike fitting the “Born in the USA” tag to be a little bit loud, brash and somewhat cheesy. If it was Made in the USA, then maybe it would be a different story, but I voted based purely on what the title means to me and the bike which fit it best.

Well, it certainly is possible for the same user to sign up with multiple email addresses to "pad" the number of votes their bike receives - it's pretty easy to spot, when the bikes receiving the votes are coming form new users - accounts with 1 or less posts.

It is a bit of a joke.

You all know who you are. Winning a contest under false pretenses is an empty victory, and the one who takes pride in it is equally empty.

More than a few vote-worthy bikes in this month's BOTM...

but for me, none scream "winner" quite as lous as BP's 'ham.
Take a good look at the picture...it's full of ultra cool details,
and the fact that it's 30 years old is amazing.
Might be the old bmx'er in me, but I love the red snakebellies too.
Great job Noah.

Steve

As much as I love Yo's (which is a LOT!)....the Ultimate and the Cunningham are so so so much more worthy. Come on all you non-voters, get 'em in!

Already voted, quite closed ;)
Am I the only one surprised of the few votes of Archangels Adroit? It´s a great build, maybe not the month for it; the best race replica BOTM might have been better for it...
