Where are the clips? Tossed for Clipless when I ride...(3000 plus miles on mountain bikes this year, not all of course on the Santana)

Your point is well taken, if the bike is to be shown as a steady rocker...

wherefore? if you have the right pedals, which are grippy enough, you dont need them. ok I dont know a mtb pedal which is grippy. my pedals are all oldschool bmx ones
