Modern forum software allows mega uploads with resizing on the fly - just like Facebook. No falling prey to 3rd parties like photobucket withholding images from free accounts. Some forums who didn't self host lost major chunks of content due to PB's actions. Mobile log-on issues, upload restrictions & poor moderation of regularly obnoxious members - its no surprise Facebook is more welcoming, especially for those with a more casual interest. RB is in danger of becoming a place folk just come to via Google searches, read & move on rather than an active growing community.

Probably i wasnt really focusing on one person in paticular and should have expanded on my comment but it was late in a long day I think this thread, especially considering some of the feelings, needs positive input and support. There is another thread floating about where John has explained the current site layout and his current testing of another platform, which i think would be a better place to express what one finds lacking in this current version

...oh, and thanks again should go to Peachy for stepping up and posting this BOTM. looking forward now to the BOTY vote

I don't think botm ever recovered after all the falling out over the pro's closet entering loads of bikes. Seemed to make some people angry and the arguing turned people off so people like me that didn't really care either way stopped spending too much time on the threads.

Last time we had a long running 'retrobike is doomed' thread admin pointed out that actually some sections are more active than they've ever been.
