WimVDD's 1991 Scott Windriver

This was my first "real" bike ever (and my first real act of insubordination as well). I always wanted to do some cycling but my parents disagreed on that, so when I was 18 (an officially an adult) I robbed my savings account and bought this bike without their knowledge.

2 years later I sold the bike as I needed funding the new bike (I started competitive mountainbiking and the Scott didn't really meet the requirements). Last year I saw this one on German E-bay and I couldn't resist.

Nice detail: it has nearly all the original parts (even the brake pads are original)

I like DX.... I consider Deore flagship!

"The flagship of a group of things that are owned or produced by a particular organization is the most important one."

So DX can never be considered "flagship" as there was one more important. ;)

I thought “Deore” was Shimano’s flagship component group name?
If you are thinking the top of that range is the Flagship, then obviously that’s the XTR. So XT,DX & LX are legit?

I thought the idea of the comp was to show some nice tidy low end bikes….. just saying. :xmas-wink:
