Bontrager Ti lite

Bored, wasn't sure about the blue on this so thought I'd have a change about. DSC_0870.JPG _20230710_110725.JPG _20230710_110745.JPG _20230710_110809.JPG DSC_0873.JPG
To be honest I don't think it'll stay like this either, I have a new fork coming (hopefully, it seems to be lost in the postal system at the moment 😕) and I think will go back to the Raceface/M950 setup. It was more or less perfect to ride before I got hit on it, changing everything was just a reaction to the rear wheel getting killed. This or the blue spec will be saved for the ever elusive Race Lite that I will own at some point. 😁

I think the blue anodized parts really compliment the frame nicely. To me the yellow fork clashes with everything else. The bike is rather muted grey-tone then BAM yellow! Curious to see what the entire bike weighs when you have it settled. Finding a Titec titanium stem in good condition is pretty hard to do. Finding the Titec titanium seat post in the size you need is like finding a unicorn. Nice job!

I'm pretty sure that was Rockshox intention, make it clash with everything and be instantly recognisable from half a mile away! 😁
But yes, I have a Judy FSX on the way, if it ever makes it through the postal system!
Titec stuff was all just luck, right place right time, I actually had 3 of these seatposts at one point.
I haven't weighed it for a bit, it was bang on 10kg/22lb with the Raceface/M950, Judy and Racelite wheels. 👍 😁

That´s perfect. Titanium goes well w/ black or silver. The yellow on the fork is the limit. Otoh m950 works better.

Thanks 👍 Yeah m950 works better but this Sachs stuff is pretty good if you get on with Gripshift and with a bit of fiddling the Avid brakes are great.
The fork will be changed for an FSX if it ever arrives so the yellow will go, I have a Z2 for it but a seal blew and I haven't got round to sorting it yet. Although I'm on the fence again with that, I think it would be a shame to lose the Bonty crown and Keith's involvement with the original RS1 kind of says Rockshox to me. Z2 is a better fork in every way though.
I might make my mind up one day! 😁 😂

Finally getting closer to the fork I've always wanted for this bike. FSX legs fitted with a freshly serviced metal cartridge, the best stanchions out of my collection of Judys and Steed springs, at the end of the month I'll get a brace from SRP and fit them in the Bontrager crown.
Possibly a pointless exercise, they will be no different functionally to the SL already on there, but since when has this hobby been sensible! 😁 😂 _20230713_224228.JPG

Love that you're going to make your own FSX with a Bonty crown!

This is what it's all about.

That fork with a ti frame is going to be niiiiiiiiice!
