No, but I think I almost bought your frame. I couldn't find the time to drive up to Martinez, and the guy was adamantly opposed to shipping it for some reason. His screws being loose benefitted you at least, because that's a nice frame, and it was only my Bontrager sickness that was telling me I needed another....which I obviously don't! Besides, this is fun having two simultaneous builds of late model Race Lites!
 
Aha! Ya, he had zero interest in shipping it. So very glad it didn't work out for you ;D I feel lucky to have it. We've kept in touch, he's a good dude and working on a fleet of bontragers right now for himself and his kids.

I'm afflicted with the same sickness you can see.

and a quick question - for a regular mag 21, what would the hardware originally be made of? My brake posts are magnetic but neither the crown nor brake arch bolts are.
 
Ha, yeah, been having a hard time getting to the point at which I can clear coat the fork legs. Truth is, I need to bite the bullet and buy a spray gun and all the clear coat components to do the tint....a little pricey, but it's the only way I'll get to gold ...and I like the DIY even if it is a pain in the ass.

My recollection of standard mag 21s is that all bolts and brake bosses were steel, and the brake arch, steerer, and crown were also steel. The Mag 21 SL Ti had Ti bolts and bosses, a magnesium brake arch, and alloy crown and steerer.

Hey Elfman......there is a entity on e-bay that sell titanium bolt kits for our mag 21's along with kits for Judy's...I'll look them up in my watch list and give you the details

Where are you located...
In the states there is a clear coat with a hardener in the bottom of the spray can. To activate the hardener you turn the can upside down pushing down on a bottom that pierces the can internally.....then shake for a few minutes. There is a 48hr. Window to use entire contents before no longer usable. I have restored a few Bultaco pursang gas tanks ( I'm also into vintage motocross) and have used this. Super user friendly, can also has adjustable spray nozzle for vertical or horizontal spray pattern, and years later finish still looks wet like it was done yesterday....
