Later bikes only had decals on the top and down tube (see picture of mine below) and they were angled rather than straight edge.

Your early one has 3 panel straight edge, but other other one has 3 panel with angled edges. Never seen that

Oh I see what you mean, thanks! What year do you think they are?
The collection I bought belonged to the guys grandad. He had lovingly sourced and pieced them together, PDI’d them, but never rode them! I can only assume he had most of them shipped from the US.

The early one is a 90 or 91 judging by the riveted cable stops. The other one, probably 93-94.

There's no way with serial numbers to get any more accurate than that as far as I know.

Kind of finished, just need to take her for a shake down spin on a sunny day. Pretty happy with the end result.

I have a slight issue with the canti brakes rubbing on the fork brace… work in progress! However, I did take the other Bonty for a spin. It rides very well, only needs is some new elastomers for the forks!
