Hi All,
Been a loooong while since I was on here but I think this is worth doing a build thread:

96 Privateer comp in a sorry state, picked up off eBay round the corner from me, some wear and tear on this old fella

I’m not sure how you manage to do that to forks but there it is!

Stripped it down yesterday and all appears to be good, minimal corrosion and nothing bent or dented, the only small concern is it has had heat applied at some stage probably to help remove a stuck seatpost.

On the lookout for a 1” steerer set of shocks and some nice period wheels

At least checking the internals on that leg'll be easy enough!?

Fastline coatings in Preston did a good job of powder coating my privateer, if you decide to repaint.
I've also got some Mavic 117 rims on xt hubs for sale right now if you are interested.
