Boing Boing Boing..

Is it a team or a rebadged Nail FRS? Components suggest a Nail FRS, but I’m assuming it shared the same frame with the TEAM FRS? None the less, my Manitou 4’s would look 👀 good on that 👌🏼👍🏼🔥

My initial thoughts were that it is a Nail FRS due to the Mach 5 Comps, though they could have been added later. Difficult to tell, as it's just about old enough to have gone through several owners' hands with a refurb or two. Decals look about right if it is a Team as they look fairly aged and placed correctly though a few are missing which may just be an indication that they were taken off due to wear like I did with my own Team FRS, or they were never added due to it being a Nail and they didn't have a full set of decals. Either way, it's worth some love if it's not cracked.

Yeah, my thoughts too re: cracking, not that I’m an expert, but I can only assume that could be a problem. Too far for me to go and see…..can’t see anything in the pictures, non the less, a bit of love and it will look great.

I’m amazed it’s still there. Team Frs and Nail Frs had the same frame. A 96 for sure.

I had a 95 version of this frame for a day until I found the crack around the pivots.

Agree though; could strip, clean and make a stunning bike. Don’t see many of these ever at all

Although the suspension is hard to replace or service I believe. Mach 5 is period correct.

I was going to take a punt and asked the seller if they would post if the courier provided the box. The response was that they were willing to allow a courier pickup but they weren't prepared to take the wheels off and pack it into the box themselves. It was a risk to begin with and the listing description kept being edited to sound less and less appealing.

After that, I lost interest.

Now back on for £250

£180 now.

I’m 90% sure it’s a Nail FRS with Team FRS repro decals on.

The brakes, drivechain, forks, post and stem and most telling - the shock - belongs on the Nail.

I’ve compared to catalogue and the team shock has the little reservoir. The Team had Matt bronze coloured stem, post and brakes not silver.

Still an £1100 bike back in the day but not the Team standard.

Still a bargain IMO

I’ve spoken to the seller and he would ship if you use the Paisleyfreight box drop off and collection services. : £60

I offered to provide the box drop off Paisleyfreight service when the bike was at £299. Unfortunately, the seller refused to pack it into the box themselves which is a requirement of Paisley's service. The price and description has changed several times since then and went from sounding fairly knowledgeable to sounding like there could be an issue.

Surely somebody has been to inspect it by now? That said, I've seen a fair few knocking around at very low prices over the last couple of weeks which may well have peaked peoples interest more than this one.

I spoke to him today and he would box it up if the box is delivered. That’s before I withdrew as it’s the Nail.

Think his enthusiasm is waining and he’s looking to offload.

Hopefully you can swoop back in if interested and save yourself at least £100
