...annoyed with yet another BB standard.

This time its Cannondale si hollowgram.

Crank accepts ye olde puller but there is nothing for it to push against, being BB30 hollow axle.
Cost me 6p so far as although a 1p and 5p coin both fit, they just bend.

Looks like either need the expensive bolt or use a rod that presses against the other bolt.

Oh for the joys of yester year retro simplicity.

Yup, there is a special cannondale tool for this crank that only works on this set up

One of our mechanics has removed one of these without the special tool, maybe with a bearing puller, but don't quote me on that, have a google and check before going at it!

Edit: I think I've remembered how it was removed

Firstly remove l/h arm

Then screw the crank bolt back into the axle firmly as this is what you will be pushing against in the next bit

Get a socket extension or a solid metal bar that will slide into the hollow axle. The bar should be long enough to get the bearing puller tip into a position that allows you to engage the puller arms behind the crank spider arms and have enough thread left on the puller to extract the arm

I suspect you'd already come up with this sort of idea judging by your post

Cannondale, doing weird sh1t as usual and reinventing stuff that doesn't need it!

Got is off buy using a threaded bar to butt up against the LH crank. There is video showing that a regular crank extractor can be used by screwing on the outer part that pushes against the axle - I could see that after taking the crank off, that would have worked too.
