Bloody computers Grrr

We were looking today for a base unit for downstairs, the kids computer, but we cannot get one till May. I think the Dell downstairs must have heard our mutterings as it's committed suicide

You can hear it start up and bing but there is nothing on the screen, the monitor seems OK but not the 'puter.

This is such a pain

We think it's the graphics card as the monitor works on my son's laptops

Does your Motherboard have onboard graphics? If it does you can switch it in the BIOS.

If not, check to see if your PC uses AGP or PCI-E. If it's the latter you can pick up a cheap AMD card for 20 quid.
