I think you've made the right choice with white. They were originally supplied with a silver (I think>) san marco saddle, the chances of finding one of those is pretty remote! Also, Dawes sold the Imperial as a 'Sports' model, top of their range sports as the Galaxy was their top of the range touring

I think I might have posted this on another thread for you, there's a few photos of a pretty original Imperial if you need any references

Fantastic looking bike Robbie, hope mine turns out that well. I did eventually find out about the original saddle on the Imperial, it's a Kashimax Aero in Silver (read hard plastic BMX saddle!) did consider a white one briefly as you can still get them, but the word unpadded and plastic in the description scared me off...lol.
