I have a Team Marin fuji ultra light frame which im toying with the idea of powder coating.
Are some frame tubes to thin to shot/sand blast?

media blasting, find a good place and ask if they can do it. walnut husk is normally used for delicate blasting, it won't harm the metal.

No.
Ball burnishing is a big vat of little balls and a vibrator. Frame goes in, vat is vibrated, balls move around and polish the metal.

You can do similar with husk, but this is more like what you think sand blasting is, but with a different a material.

If the person doing the blasting understands the frame is thinwall & they take care it will be fine, it's when people get heavy handed that things go wrong. Even just mis-handling such a frame & bashing it on the blast cabinet door. I've done plenty in my time.

Yes, also look at glass bead (not crushed glass), soda or vapour blasting.

Powdercoat just needs a clean surface to adhere. A rough surface does help adhesion, but isn't 100% necessary.
