Picked up a bike with this Blackspire headset

Rest of the bike was 96-98 components so I’d imagine this is too.

I didn’t pay much attention to it initially but now it seems very similar to a Chris King.

Google doesn’t show anything at all.

Any one have any info ?

Looks similar for sure. I had a plain red one that looked similar, the main difference is that the bearings are removable (a bonus in my mind as easy to replace), though you can't knock the quality of king bearings.

Could be something King licensed to Blackspire for a few years.. I have a Cane Creek VP-A51A that I was pretty sure was a Cane Creek when I bought it from the LBS, but when I reached out to Cane Creek, their response was,

VP was (is?) a headset company that printed our name on their headsets in recognition of the patent we held on the threadless headset. So unfortunately we don't have any documentation for this headset. Sorry for the inconvenience,

May be a similar situation here..
