Blackburn. How grim is it?

Re:

My wife and I had cause to linger in Preston one night a while ago. We ended up leaving after taking a stroll around and discovering what a run down place the city centre is. Quite depressing to see such neglect.

On the bright side, we found a lovely cafe in the morning and the people themselves were very warm.

Thought this thread was about racks and going bust.

Or pumps... years ago I had several, conned by the marketing story of lifetime repairs by stockists carrying a full range of spares. The truth was much more grim...

Re:

Nothing to worry about, spend the evening praying in any one of the numerous Mosques. Just don't get radicalised!

One of the highlights of our wee stroll was finding a lively mosque, where we were made very welcome and were given an insight into how the community is moving forward. Inspiring.

Other churches are available, just watch out for the Christians, they nail people to the cross.

Good curry's to be had in town, there used to be a good all you can eat Chinese as well round the back of the town hall, in a converted pub, if you want to go out and rock is your thing I can recommend The Napier https://thenapier.co.uk/

Now you are being silly, the only religion that still crucifys people is the Muslim one. It remains a legal punishment in the UAE & Saudi Arabia, Iran and Syria. Very enlightened.

Dr Barham Salih, the Iraqi deputy prime minister stated that the preaching in Mosques, he visited in Blackburn, was so radicalised it would be banned in Iraq!

No-one knows how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.

I could work it out if I knew how many Olympic sized swimming pools it takes to fill the Albert Hall :

all I have to add is there is a good night out to be had in Blackburn, as that is the question posed.

I grew up in Blackburn, go by the name Ranjit, and am not radicalized, for any religion. 2 wheels and the truth....
