Awesome I had a few models down - "Al Carter Professional" with 400LX, I kept the catalogue and wistfully looked at the Black Panther...

They weren't so highly regarded as american bikes or muddy foxes, in fact I remember reading on here that people bought the Black Panther on sale because you could buy the whole bike for less than the cost of a DX groupset.

Still, great to see it and an interesting ride! Well worth building up.

Whats the tubeset sticker say / weight of f&f?

will have a propper look when im back at work pretty sure the tubeset is standard tange cro mo its not the lightest but looks well put together
