Bizarreness from the early 90s

Just dug this out from the bottom of a very dusty box (hence all the chips and scratches). I had this stem made to fit my race bike. Nothing odd you may think: race bike, negative rise. But look again, this stem has an 1 1/4 inch quill steerer, it was made for my Titan 1/2 Trak and then used on my Funk for that head down, arse in air, race mountain bike look! I actually used it for 2 seasons......

Good god! On a MOUNTAIN BIKE!! Thats suicide :shock:
I have an identical design stem, maybe a little longer, but it was ONLY for my TT bike. Back breaking after a 25m TT though.....

still got my syncros negative angle stem in the loft somewhere,used it for years BITD!!!prob why my back's sha@%ed now :cry:
