hi.. read the link (ref Blasting p/coated frames) and i quite agree. we would never attempt to blast a powder coated frame, alloy or steel. our process involves chemical stripping the frame in an alcohol based stripper which destroys the bond of the powder coat, this makes the blasting process alot faster and does not damage the frame in any way at all. the stripper leaves no reidue and is totally harmless (non corrosive). after the stripping and blasting process all frames and parts are sanded and preheated to remove any moisture from inside the frame. ...cheers ,Mike@retrocoatings.
