Road cycling say that
Billato is one of Europe’s top specialist lightweight frame builders. Building frames for riders from many pro-teams and with wins in World Championships (on & off road), Classic’s and even the Tour de France overall, their pedigree is pretty impressive. Indeed there are less than a handful of frame manufacturers that can boast such a long list of victories, they cannot say who they’ve made bikes for, as their riders have had their bikes re-stickered by their sponsors.

Thank you very much for your answer.
Does it have any specific signs of a Billato frame? I am not convinced of its authenticity.

Since '54 Billato was specialized in building steel frames for famous Italian brands like Legnano, Coppi, Pinarello en Scapin, to name a few ;). In ’79 Billato was asked if they could make the CXers for a famous Belgium brand and later on the road bikes. I have no clue which Belgoum brand that is. In ’81 they started making MTB frames for Ted Kirkbride (Masi) with Reynolds tubes. The Belgium brand was then taken over by a Dutch brand and Billato started making the Concorde frames for the PDM team. The frames he build won the most famous races in the next seven years. (Tour de France, Paris – Roubaix, World cup etc).
Bellato also used to do this for other brands like Look and he had a partnership with Stevens, Tommaso USA, Marin MTB USA , Diamond Back en Dynatek.

Re:

The name on the brake bridge is Greg Lemond and I have a Greg Lemond built by the Billato bros. The brake bridge looks to be the same as do the rear dropout attachment and the rear mech cable stop. I would say this was built by Billato.
Have a look at this post viewtopic.php?f=12&t=258385

Yes its the same looking frame as my Lemond, which was Billato built.
Its a nice looking frame with the chrome and PDM style flash on the top tube, but not a fan of the font used on the name. Something a bit sharper may look better.
