Bikes you want with no good reason for it.

A DeKerf, ever since a Forrest green one with custom sprayed Rock Shox was featured in one of the mags Bitd.

Also a Slingshot cos they're so wacky :)

Don't know if i'll ever get either of them but you never know :)

Not having any nostalgia for/memories of what are now retro mtbs, I have no "wants" based on my contemporary feelings for any of them (with the possible exception of Breezers of which I saw a couple when in a local shop).

So, with a blank canvas (oh alright, mind!)I've been looking for something I WANT for months - ain't seen anything that gave me a must have feeling, at least not strongly enough for me to sell any of what I have. Last year I "budgetted" myself a grand for a bike - didn't see anything that I felt worthy.

Generically I'd like a horizontal top tube, with 18 gears and full rack and 'grd mountings. And a pretty paint job! And I guess there is no good reason even for that.

I may settle for sending one of the Kilis to a frame shop for braze ons and a respray!

Clockwork Orange for me back in the day... Just a good British build with a catchy name.... And I loved wishbone stays.... Oh and fancied a Mongoose Iboc Comp for a while.... And an MBK  if we go even further back.... I think it was just the colour scheme...orange/yellow/green fade.... :)

Still hard to beleive, but four years ago I was still in mad hunt for a Dolomite Attitude (17 year desire at the time)...got really lucky and managed to get my hands on an unloved one in need of TLC...rebuild was a true labor of lust...

since then I've wanted:

a Bontrager...got one

a Fat...got two

a Slingshot...got one

a Litespeed...got one

a Psyclone...got one

a Spooky...got four :D

a klunker...got one

another Klein...got 3 more ;)

a Nevil...got one

a Proflex...got one

a brazed Fisher...got one

a CR-7...got one

a Psycho Psycles...got one

a Breezer...got one

etc, etc, etc.....

still really want though:

a red, white, and blue Ritchey

a Brodie

a Yeti

an ORT

and a '90 Rocky Mountain Stratos (there was one at the shop where I first saw the Attitude all those years ago).

God help me, I'm a bikeaholic

San Andreas MK I. With Pro Stops, Suspenders and all Syncros including Revolution cranks. I've seen first time in magazine 91 or 92?, can't remember. BITD, when on my local market were heavy gas pipes Mustang kind of bikes it was like a alien spaceship. I was so impressed by this bike. I still have soft spot on it, not sure I would like own today as it's completely not my cup of tea. Surely San Andreas left strong mark in my mind, no wonder, I've stared on that picture everyday for a while.

i own one and can honestly say they are fabulous to ride..they feel planted and stuck to the road,,at high speed they are very stable, unless its me riding in which case i crash a lot...mines purple now....

Still a Vitamin T for me. Has been since about '95. Couldn't afford one then. can't afford one now!
My problem is I'm impatient and impulsive, so I see something I want, buy it, then don't have the cash for the Vitamin T's when they come up! If I didn'y do that I could buy one!

Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
