Bikes you still want to own

A Trek with WTB affiliations; an authentic klunker for OW 11; a fillet-brazed Fisher; a Mantis Valkyrie; a Retrotec; an Overbury's e-stay; an Ellison e-stay; a Clockwork... that'll do for now!

Mr K

You know what ? I think I've got all the bikes I wanted.
Now, when I go to "auction watch" I don't know what to write in the rectangle search…

i know i'm a few pages late on this LGF, but i have an american steel e stay for sale ;) OH, and

GT xizang LE, Lobo and a carbon zaskar,

Other than an early ARC I only really want a WTB steel Phoenix (19.5") and a Cunningham. Someday. I'll keep looking and saving in the meantime...

i've always wanted an early zaskar, dreamed about one since about 96 when i first saw one in the flesh.

Ideal setup for me would be all the stuff i want to use but cannot justify!! hope hubs, headset etc, full xtr, magura brakes, a light dusting of purple ano on a ball burnished frame with a pair of yellow rock shox judy's & a smoke / dart combo.

it might be the bike a lot of people have already ridden / built but when i was at my most impressionable that was THE bike i saw in the shop that took words away from me. it sat there on its plinth towering above the other bikes that were lined up next to each other like a cattle market with 'old glory' hung up behind it. It simply looked like the best bike ever built and for that reason..... I will probably never buy one just in case it spoils the illusion.

Gee sounds like you should have grabbed that MBUK Re-Issue bike....shiny, yellow, purple, hope hubs and had smokes and darts.

if they re-issued it then it must have been worth the effort! 'twas a truly stunning bike to look at (and i'm not a huge fan of GT's)

A few I'd like to try out :D

Pre Answer..Manitou HT
Ritchey P20/P21
Early 90's Merlin
Rocky Mountain TiBolt

.

A fully speced up late 90's GT Zaskar (Hans Ray style), I had an i orange GT pantara it just wasn't quite the Zaskar.
