Bikes you still want to own

We might have a ride over on Friday evening of the Big Weekender. Why dontvyou get your ass up from the smoke and join us. Nice pint of bitter afterwards too ;)

If the right cheap full suspension frame came up I'd consider building something around one.

If money were no object : See my signature.

Oh and maybe a Rock Lobster, always liked those and still do.

defo want a fat chance build, but i haven't really tried to get one yet, mainly because i think i will be dissapointed if i do get one, high expectations etc.

a merlin titanium would be nice, something that was just modern enough to fit an 80mm fork to but v brake only, so there's no unused disc mount.

eddy merckx motorola team build (even though it's dura ace and i'm a campag guy)

a mint breezer, purely for the paint, i love the paint on those and i wouldn't care if it rode badly which i'm sure it wouldn't.

colnago master, campag build of course, with chrome in all the right places

i'm sure there are more!! :D

Damnit, i'll see, problems being the week following the BDW I am booked to go away, therefore time & money is a concern. (money as it will have to be a silly expensive train ride up)

You only live once son. BDW moves away from Yorkshire next year so it might be a long time until it returns to God's country.

bizarrely two bikes I used to own and race...

Id be madly happy if i had my old Zaskar and hei hei again, many many happy hours spent on both...

Zaskar I hope to find shortly, Ive got all the parts on standby, but tbh Ive kind of given up on finding a 16'' 97 hei hei again

When i was about 14 i was really into carbon. i used to try and dream build bikes with as much carbon in as possible. i thought skinny tubed steel frames were dull. that all changed when i read a review of the mountain goat whiskey town racer. it was a deep maroon colour and classy as you like. ever since i have wanted one but its certainly out of my reach at the minute.

on a less glamourous note i'd give my left leg for a KHS montana team, circa 1993 (pink and blue). There was always one hung up in the LBS. full m900 xtr, weighed nothing. pure class. i have seen a few frames for sale but never a full bike. i think i would sell the fleet for one of those.

i would like to have a mid 90's cannondale full sus bike i think. i always saw them as being ahead of their time and i was a big missy fan. i dont think it would be a keeper though.

also on a missy tip i would love a full sus yeti circa 1992.

obviously if a vintage ritchey or cunningham turned up i would be very happy. cant see that happening though

+1 on the vintage (1982-89) Ritchey... ;) A fillet brazed Fisher from the same era would also be nice. I wouldn't mind a Bridgestone MB-1 either, or a crome Mongoose or a Merlin or a...

PS Curious on a Fat too...
